The Aryan’s Reverse Flow Model filter press (Zero Hold Up Filter Press ) is designed for polishing and for security filtration of liquids with limited solid contents. Sparkler Filter Press Design features include: Maximum cake stability, Ability for intermittent operation, Complete recovery of product, No unfiltered hold-over, and Perfect sealing of filter media by tie rod compression at center and periphery of all filter plates.
Complying cGMP norms, Modular structure, Top Dom construction for easy removal of cartridge assembly. Sparkler Filter Press (Zero Hold Up Filter Press ) is compatible with any kind of filter media and all types of filter aids. Even distribution of cake assuring economical operation and uniform clarity. All Horizontal Filter Press Vessels can be supplied with a heating or cooling jacket. Available size are 8”, 14’, 18”, 24”. They consist of Type 316 / 304 stainless steel.
Since the filtering surface of the Sparkler Reverse Horizontal Plate Filter is in the same position of the standard horizontal plate filter, it offers all of the stable filtering features as the standard horizontal plate filter. Advantages to the Reverse Flow design are that: the filter vessel only comes in contact with filtered product leaving the tank clean; internal filter plate cartridge assembly fully contains cake; complete recovery of product by chasing or gas blow down; cartridge parts can be assembled in a take-apart fashion so that it can be used in a sanitary service.

Working :
The Cartridge assembly consists of plates with inter locking cups, plate rings, perforated screens and filter media arranged one above other, forms single pipeline. The unfiltered liquid is centrally fed under pressure from bottom inlet. The liquid spreads out equally on each plate fitted with filter media. Solids remain on the filter media and clear filtrate flows through Holes on the supporting ring and flows towards the shell, which is led out through outlet pipe line. In the process, solids are evenly distributed on each plate. At the end of cycle the cake can be dried by applying air or N2 or any inherent gas.

The values of “Flow-Rates” mentioned in technical specification sheet have been estimated for the following operating parameters:

- Insoluble : Carbon
- Filter media : Non-woven polypropylene cloth of 115 grade.
- d. Carbon loading : 5 kg/m2 filtration area.
